Frequently Asked Questions

What are SHIKI mockups?
SHIKI mockups are Photoshop PSD templates designed to help designers present artwork, posters, branding, and packaging in bold contemporary environments. Each scene is built like a photography setup with strong lighting, rich textures, and editorial style composition so your work stands out.

What software do I need to use these mockups?
SHIKI mockups work in Adobe Photoshop and Photopea only. They are not compatible with Canva, Procreate, Illustrator, or other design apps.

Are the mockups easy to use?
Yes. Each PSD contains a clearly labelled smart object layer where you place your artwork. Once inserted, the design automatically adapts to the perspective and lighting of the scene.

Can I use the mockups for client work?
Yes. You can use SHIKI mockups to present designs in portfolios, client presentations, social media posts, and online shops.

Can I use the mockups for commercial projects?
Yes. You can use them to showcase designs you sell or create for clients. The mockup files themselves cannot be resold, shared, or redistributed.

Can I customise the mockups?
Most SHIKI mockups are not designed to be heavily customised. However, in some cases certain elements such as background colours may be changeable to better match your design. If you are comfortable working in Photoshop, you can of course manually adjust or edit parts of the scene yourself.

Do I receive a physical product?
No. All SHIKI mockups are digital downloads.

How do I download my files?
After purchase you will receive a download link. Download the ZIP file, extract it, and open the PSD in Photoshop or Photopea.

Are these suitable for beginner designers?
Yes. The mockups are straightforward to use and are especially useful for new designers building their first portfolio who want professional looking presentation without needing to create their own photos.

How are the mockups created?
SHIKI mockups are created using a combination of photography, digital design tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom, and generative AI tools. AI may be used during the creative process to help generate or develop certain visual elements, which are then refined and prepared as professional PSD mockup templates.

All mockups are carefully edited and structured so designers can easily place their artwork into the scene.

These mockups are intended for customers who are comfortable using design resources created with modern digital tools, including AI assisted workflows.

Because this information is clearly disclosed, refunds will not be provided based on objections to AI usage after purchase. If you have questions about how the mockups are created before buying, please feel free to get in touch.

Can I get a refund on digital products?
Due to the nature of digital downloads, refunds are generally not provided once a file has been purchased. SHIKI mockups are designed to work with Adobe Photoshop and Photopea only. Refunds are not provided for compatibility issues with other software. Please check you have compatible software before purchase as we cannot be liable for this.

If you experience a technical problem while using the mockups in Photoshop or Photopea, please get in touch at shikimcokups@gmail.com and we will do our best to help resolve the issue. If the issue cannot be resolved and it is confirmed that the problem is not caused by user error or software incompatibility, a refund may be considered.

How will I know when new mockups are released?
